Charity Management Accountant and Bookkeeper
Fully home based (UK) Full time preferred (37.5 hours), open to 30 or 34 hours a week
Are you an experienced all-rounder who enjoys both bookkeeping and management accounts? Would you like to work from home, but still be part of a close and supportive team?
We're looking for someone to join us in looking after charities, CICs and other not-for-profits as part of their outsourced finance department team. You'll handle many aspects from day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero to full management accounts, VAT, budgets and cashflows, and help with year-end work when it's needed. You'll have lots of client contact, work very independently, and have room to grow into a client manager role.
Strong Xero and Excel skills are essential. Experience of working in practice and with charities is ideal, as well as an understanding of AML. We welcome people who are part qualified or qualified by experience - it's more important to us that you can do the job than the exams you've passed. No study package is included, but could be considered for the right candidate.
We're flexible, and we work around our life commitments. And we'll be honest - full time doesn't leave loads of room to flex. So, we'd love to hear from people who have already made full-time, flexible home working work for them.
Even though the work is totally home-based, you will not feel alone as part of this team. We have weekly online team meetings, meet face to face 2 or 3 times a year, and jump online throughout the week whenever someone needs help. Above all, we want to find the right person with the right heart.
Salary is competitive and based on experience.
